Picture retakes will be this Wednesday at the high school. If you are a tech student you need to arrange to take yours either before school or when you return to the high school during 4th hour. If you are a virtual student you can come between 8:30am-9:00am OR 11:40am-12:00pm to get your photo taken if you didn't take yours on the original photo date or if you need a retake. Senior portrait retakes will also be this Wednesday during 1st -4th hours. If you need to take a photo or a retake, you may come in at your convenience to the gym. Oklahoma School Pictures will be set up for you with a separate camera. Again, you will wear you own clothes, so think Sunday best. If you are a tech student, you will have to arrange to be here. You can come before school as they should be set up by 8, or you can come immediately when you are done at tech during 4th hour. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Gerry at egerry@jonesps.org.

27 September 2020 Dear Parents, In an effort to keep you informed on the health status of our district, we will be reporting weekly on any positive cases of COVID-19 within our schools and any exposure to positive cases. While we hope we can avoid any more positive cases in our community, we expect to have a few students or staff exposed to COVID during this time, and they will be asked to quarantine as per the OKC - County Department of Health guidelines. Remember, an exposure is not the same as a positive case.  It is important to keep in mind that if your child is ever exposed to a COVID positive person at school, you will be notified immediately. This report is only to make you aware of the overall incidents within our district. With each incident, and on other occasions, we are consulting with the OKC - County Health Department.  During this last week, we have experienced two POSITIVE CASES, one at the elementary school and one at the high school. We also had 26 reported exposures. Families with students that were at risk of exposure were notified directly. Each individual is following the quarantining protocol as prescribed by OKCCH.  We are following CDC guidelines and protocols set by the State Department of Health and our school district to decrease potential spread. The use of masks is critical to this cause. Also, we have limited the contact time and provided social distancing whenever possible.  Should your child/children start exhibiting COVID related symptoms, it is strongly recommended that you contact their primary care physician or the local health department to have them tested immediately.  Also, if anyone in your home is experiencing symptoms, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL until it is certain they have not been exposed or have quarantined the appropriate amount of time. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s principal. Sincerely, Carl Johnson, Ph.D. Superintendent Jones Public Schools

JHS Seniors: A source for scholarships that is often overlooked is you and your parent's employers. Many employers offer college scholarships to their employees and/or their dependents. Make sure you and your parents check to see if this is available.
