
One Friday each fall the University of Central Oklahoma’s School of Criminal Justice hosts CJ Day. This event introduces students to the CJ program at UCO and professionals in the Criminal Justice field. This year’s event is on Friday, September 24, 2021 at UCO’s main campus in Edmond. The Profile in Courage Essay Contest is live! By sharing an original essay describing a leader who demonstrated political courage as described by President Kennedy in his book, Profiles in Courage, you could win up to $10,000 for college!
Sixty-five years ago, John F. Kennedy described the stories of eight U.S. senators who demonstrated great courage under enormous pressure in his Pulitzer Prize-winning book Profiles in Courage. Olin E. Teague Memorial Scholarship
To encourage talented young people to pursue careers in the aerospace industry, the National Space Club and Foundation offer resources and scholarships to students. This scholarship is open to all high school seniors. Students must submit an official transcript, one letter of recommendation from a STEM teacher and a five-page research paper discussing a personal aerospace research project the student has conducted.

ExtremeTerrain Scholarship
ExtremeTerrain is offering two $2,500 scholarships, one for the fall semester and one for the spring Semester to eligible students pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Research, Land Use, Earth and Atmosphere Studies, Sustainable Land Management, Parks and Recreation, or Sustainable Agriculture Systems.
Students should submit a 700 – 1500-word essay that describes who you are, why you feel it is important to maintain access to public lands for recreational use and how you plan to use your degree to advocate for the recreational use of public lands.

OKLAHOMA HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIP
Oklahoma Scholarship Competition
Each year, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame makes available cash scholarships and tuition grants to high school students who have studied Oklahoma’s history and heritage. Through the Oklahoma Scholarship Competition, students in grades 9 through 12 test their knowledge on Oklahoma history, geography, and its people. Students compete for scholarships in the county in which they attend school. Those with high scores in each county receive a minimum of a $1,000 cash scholarship or tuition grant to an Oklahoma college or university. Each of Oklahoma’s 77 counties has at least ten scholarships available. Scholarships are made possible through generous donations by individuals, corporations, and Oklahoma colleges and universities.

Notorious RBG Women of Tomorrow Scholarship
As remembered by the American Bar Association, “It is undeniable that the late Justice [Ruth Bader} Ginsburg transformed the legal profession, the Supreme Court, and the fabric of American society through her tireless advocacy for gender equity.” This scholarship is offered to honor the blazing legacy of “Notorious RBG” by awarding 10 applicants with $1,000 each for their efforts to embody the spirit of RBG within their own communities. An essay of 500-800 words is required, as well as other documents listed on the scholarship website. Rising high school students and recently graduated 2021 high school seniors may apply. Military Scholarship for Veterans, Active Duty and Spouses

The Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for outstanding minority high school seniors from low-income households. Each year it is awarded to 300 students, with the intent of helping hem realize their maximum potential. An applicant must be a high school senior from at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American/Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander, and/or Hispanic American. Don't Text and Drive Scholarship
Texting while driving makes drivers 23 times more likely to get into a “safety-critical event.” To apply for this scholarship, complete the application form that will include a 140-character message about texting while driving. The application is open to any high school student or any level of college student, including graduate level. There is no age limit, but you must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

Cameron Impact Scholarship
The Cameron Impact Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, merit-based undergraduate scholarship awarded annually to 10-15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, leadership and community service.
