JHS SENIORS: The Eastern Oklahoma County Rotary Club has awarded scholarships to area seniors for the last several years. We look forward to continuing this worthwhile project this year even with the pandemic. I have attached the application as well as an information sheet. Jones FFA is doing some great things, keep up the good work! In October we were recognized as a National 2 Star Chapter at the National FFA convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Upon receiving this award, it has allowed us to be entered into the truck drawing (2 times) at state convention! Those who fill out a National Chapter Application get entered in a truck drawing that is drawn for at state Convention in April. Furthermore, after judging the applications for the National Chapter Award, we were recognized as an Oklahoma Premier Chapter. This opened up the opportunity for us to be chosen as one of the top 3 chapters in the category of growing leaders. We will be recognized at state convention for this award too!

Jones Public Schools will cancel school for Friday, February 4 due to inclement weather. Basketball game at St. Mary's has been moved to Saturday at 1:00 varsity girls and varsity boys at 2:30.

JHS Seniors: Since there is no school today due to snow and the weather outside is one of those days where you can't get out and do much, it would be a good time to sit down and work on those scholarship applications and get them submitted.

JHS Seniors planning to attend EOC Technology Center upon graduation for Firefighting/EMT Program: The David "Little Man" Nelson Memorial Scholarship is now open. Application deadline is May 1. Complete attached application and submit to address on application before May 1. The individual selected will be awarded a $2500 scholarship to cover costs of the EMT/Firefighter Program at EOC.
