Students interested in the University of Oklahoma: See MR. Moses for information on this great University. He can get you connected with different departments, admissions, etc. OU has an amazing Strategic plan for providing a top education at an affordable price. They are focused on getting students to OU graduating them to a successful career at an affordable price. 1 in four of this years incoming freshman were first generation students. They are focused on helping students. They have an amazing Diversity office to recruit and maintain a diverse student population. They also have an amazing disabilities office to provide support for those students with disabilities. JHS Seniors completing College Applications for Admissions: Please make sure you are thorough in answering all application questions. On most applications the Leadership and Service Essays are optional. My advice is to complete these optional essays. These essays are used to select for Leadership and Service scholarships which are some of the most lucrative scholarships at most universities.

JHS Seniors interested in Military and College: The University of Oklahoma has both Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC. You can apply for the Army ROTC Scholarship and/or the Air Force ROTC scholarship. These are full tuition& Fees, Room and Board plus book stipend and a monthly cadet stipend. You participate in ROTC go to school and graduate as an officer and have military commitment upon graduation. THESE scholarships are open right now and are highly competitive. Congratulations to JHS Junior, Paige Petty. She was selected as our Sophomore of the Year last year by our local Kiwanis. As our local winner she was entered into Texas-Oklahoma District 40 Sophomore of the Year competition. She was selected as Sophomore of the Year for District 40. JHS Seniors: Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford is a great school that can afford you many opportunities of a large research university at the cost of a small regional university. Anyone with a ACT of 28 or higher receives scholarship to cover full cost of dorm and it is renewable for all four years. In addition, there is no application fee. JHS Students: The John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage essay contest is now open. Selected essays can win from 100.00 to 10000.00 scholarship.
