Once again, here at Jones Public Schools, we wanted to thank all who came out last night and supported our revival of the Pumpkin Bash! We were so excited to offer a safe and fun way for all our kiddos to take part in fall festivities, and also to strengthen our connection within the community! As a community, you helped support 17 clubs, organizations, and athletics of Jones Public Schools all in 1 night! Those funds are used to create wonderful experiences for all our Jones Longhorns! We also want to send a huge thank you to Kiwanis. They were able to provide two free tickets to each child who entered the Pumpkin Bash. We are so grateful for all the devotion shown to our small town, and as always, "It's a great day to be a Longhorn."

Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. In response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena, angered parents and youth in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction caused by drugs in America. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities. This week, Jones High School will be participating in activities and hosting guest speakers to bring awareness to the dangers and consequences of alcohol, tobacco, vaping and drug use. Monday - Inside Out Day "Drugs Can Turn You Inside Out" Tuesday - Dress As Your Type "Drugs Aren't Attractive"/ Guest Speaker Mark Woodward, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics Lead Investigator Wednesday - Red Ribbon Day "Don't Be Misled, Wear Red"/Guest Speaker Shelby Salazar Thursday - Camo Day "Hide From Drugs" Friday - Zoom Meeting Day "Zoom To A Drug Free Life"/Walking Dead
