Jones High School Jones Against Drugs is sponsoring Red Ribbon Week at Jones High School OCtober 28 through November 1. Theme Days are as follows:
Monday—Camo Day “Hide From Drugs”
Tuesday-Career Day “ See yourself in a Drug Free Future
Wednesday—Red Day “ Ready to say no to drugs”
Thursday-SPACE?/Tech Day—Being Drug Free is out of this world and Relay the Message_NO Drugs—Dress as favorite Space character and will do a technology day
Friday—Longhorns are Proud to be Drug Free School Pride/Green and White Day
We will have other activities for the week. These will shared as we get closer to Red Ribbon Week.

JHS Juniors and Seniors interested in concurrent enrollment with Rose State in Spring 2020 semester. Mr. Moses now has the ROSE State IETV schedule for Spring 2020 semester. You can start visiting with MR. Moses about scheduling and enrollment for Spring 2020 Concurrent enrollment at anytime. We want to have this process completed by end of October.

JHS Seniors that plan to enter college in Fall 2020: Make sure you get your admissions applications submitted and have Mr. Moses send your transcript as soon as possible. Also, make sure you complete each schools scholarship applications!

JHS Seniors: The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Academic All State Application will open on October 1. Jones High School would like to nominate all of our seniors that meet eligibility Criteria.
Academic All-State Nomination Criteria:
Currently enrolled Oklahoma public high school seniors who meet any one of the five criteria listed below are eligible for this award.
composite ACT score of at least 30
combined SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math score of at least 1370
National Merit Scholarship Program semi-finalist
National Achievement Scholarship Program semi-finalist
National Hispanic Scholar Awards Program semi-finalist
In addition to the minimum criteria, students will be evaluated on the basis of their leadership abilities, motivation, academic achievement and character as maximized within each student’s learning environment.
• The selection committee, chaired by retired Tulsa attorney Teresa B. Adwan, works independently of all other foundation activities. The committee members are a diverse group of business, education and civic leaders. Academic All-State alumni and former Medal for Excellence-winning educators also sit on the committee.
