ROSE STATE SCHOLARSHIP UPDATES: • Academic Scholars Program UPDATES! We were informed that the OSRHE Academic Scholars Program (Regents Scholarships) has been expanded as of December 9th pending finalization during the 2020 legislative session. So if you see any information online, it is more than likely the old information due to the Governor signing temporary rules until the legislator has finalized. In the past for a Community College, the qualification for consideration was a minimum of a 29 ACT with some additional current GPA/Class Rank options. Our institution has only had 5 to give out where they receive a tuition waiver plus $900 for books, fees, etc. o New! For a Community College, the qualification for consideration as a Regents Scholar is a minimum of a 26 ACT (or SAT equivalent) and 3.7 min GPA. The students will now receive an increase of $1100 to use for books/fees and Rose State College now will have 10 to award versus 5. We are excited to see more students eligible for this amazing scholarship. This is another reason to encourage students to indicate they would like to be considered for leadership seeing as our Regents Scholarships fall in that category! If you do not know much about the Academic Scholars Program, check out this link for more info: https://content.xap.com/media/7643/asp-program-rules.pdf. When we hear this has been signed in during the session, I will email you…but we have been told we can use these updates due to the Governor signing a temporary rule revision!
