JHS STUDENTS, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COMMUNITY:
RESEARCH SHOWS US THAT DEPRESSION INCREASES IN THE WINTER MONTHS AND AROUND THE HOLIDAYS IN A NORMAL YEAR. COMMON SENSE DICTACTES THAT THIS WILL BE INCREASED TEN FOLD IN 2020-21 DUE TO COVID 19 PANDEMIC, ISOLATION, SOCIAL AND RACIAL STRIFE, FINANCIAL INSECURITY, AND DEATH.
WE NEED TO BE MORE COGNIZANT OF THIS INCREASED DEPRESSION. WHAT CAN WE DO?
1) Remember to reach out and talk to one another. If you need to talk reach out. Be available to anyone that needs to talk. You do not need to be an expert in depression you just need to be there. If the problem, is too big reach out to professionals that can help with more in depth solutions.
