Scholarship Description
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
BURGER KING® General Track - Available to all high school seniors who meet the criteria below.
Applicants must-
Be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada
Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire next academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico
Awards of $1,000 will be designated to students by high school zip code, county and/or state (U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam) of city and/or province (Canada) of participating restaurant locations. The number of awards available to each Franchisee and Burger King Corporation will be based on fundraising contributions as of the current calendar year.
Note: Employees, spouses or domestic partners of employees, and dependent children of employees who meet eligibility requirements for the General and Employee-Based Track will be considered for an award in both tracks, but if selected, will receive only one award.
BURGER KING® Employee-Based Track
Note: The Employee-Based Track will have two components as follows.
1) Employees, spouses or domestic partners of employees, and dependent children of employees pursuing a traditional postsecondary education
Applicants must-
Be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
Be an employee* of Burger King Corporation or a participating BURGER KING® franchisee (Franchisees) OR
Be a spouse (unless legally separated) or domestic partner** of an employee* of Burger King Corporation or Franchisees OR
Be a dependent child*** of an employee* of Burger King Corporation or Franchisees (Designated Employer) AND
Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico) or have attained a GED, graduating from grade 12 (Canada), graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada or current college undergraduates or graduate level students in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada
Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent
Plan to enroll**** for the academic year at an accredited two or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico
* Employees must be active on Designated Employer's payroll for at least 6 months as of the application deadline date and employed at the time awards are first announced. ** Domestic partner is defined as (i) Employee's sole Domestic Partner and intend to remain so indefinitely; (ii) Employee and Domestic Partner reside together in the same principal residence and intend to reside together indefinitely; (iii) Employee and Domestic Partner are both at least eighteen (18) years old and mentally competent to consent to a contract; (iv) Employee and Domestic Partner are not related by blood in a close enough manner that would bar marriage under applicable law in effect where they reside; and (v) Employee and Domestic Partner are not legally married to anyone else and are not involved in any other Domestic Partnership. *** Dependent children are defined as biological, step- or legally adopted children living in the employee's household or primarily supported by the employee. **** Employees and their spouse/domestic partner may be enrolled part-time or full-time. Children of employees must be enrolled full-time, without interruption, for the entire academic year.
2) Employees and spouses or domestic partners of employees pursuing an enrichment program (Enrichment programs include, but are not limited to, language, computer and accounting courses.)
Applicants must-
Be living in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
Be an employee* of Burger King Corporation or a participating BURGER KING® franchisee (Franchisees) OR
Be a spouse (unless legally separated) or domestic partner** of an employee* of Burger King Corporation or Franchisee (Designated Employer) AND
Plan to enroll less than part-time or on an intermittent basis in GED, enrichment, certification or other course that enhances learning (Note: Program or course must be taken at an accredited institution in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.)

**James W. McLamore WHOPPER® Scholarship Recipients will be chosen from the BURGER KING℠ Scholars pool including both BURGER KING® General Track and BURGER KING® Employee-Based Track applicants. **
Recipients must be:
Citizens of the United States or Canada
Students who who are seniors at a high school or home school in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
Students who are applying as a full time freshman to a four-year accredited, college or university that is located in the United States or Canada and is exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Students who have a cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3
Students who have a minimum ACT Composite score of 25 or a minimum combined SAT score of 1220
Students who demonstrate an active leadership role in community service, athletics, and/or similar co-curricular activity (such as student government, team sports, fraternal life, etc); and
Students who demonstrate substantial work experience and financial need
Officers, directors and spouses/domestic partners and children of officers and directors of the BURGER KING℠ McLamore Foundation are ineligible to apply for a scholarship.

JHS Seniors: The Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship deadline is coming up November 15
Scholarship Description
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants. Male and female students compete separately.
Ranging from $4.000 to $50,000 total ($1,000 to $12,500 per year), Most Valuable Student scholarships are for students pursuing a four-year degree, on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), in a U.S. college or university. All scholarships are in the form of certificates of award conditional upon the full-time enrollment of the winner in an accredited U.S. college or university.
The 500 national winners will be announced in late April.
Award tiers
First place - 2 awards: $50,000 each
Second place - 2 awards: $40,000 each
Third place - 2 awards: $30,000 each
Other finalists - 14 awards: $20,000 each
Runners-up - 480 awards: $4,000 each
In addition, the 20 Top Finalists traditionally* participate in an all expenses paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges to compete for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place bigger prizes.
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
Eligibility:
Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.

JHS Seniors: The Coca Cola Scholarship deadline is coming up October 31!
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

Scholarship Description
The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities.
Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational experience – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships they may receive. This highly competitive scholarship includes:
Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school.
Ability to pursue any area of study.
Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid.
Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the student experience.

JHS juniors and seniors that want to enroll in concurrent college classes for the spring semester: THe enrollment window is now open. Students currently enrolled in college classes at Rose State will only need to complete the attached concurrent enrollment form and turn in to Mr. Moses. if you will be a new concurrent student, you will need to complete the online application at the link below and the concurrent form and turn in to Mr. Moses. Mr. Moses can start turning in spring enrollments on Monday, Oct 25. The spring concurrent class schedule is also listed below.

OSDAR Scholarship Program
General Program Guidelines
OSDAR Scholarships are awarded to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, creed, or area of study. The applicant does not need to be a member of DAR to apply. The scholarship is to be considered a one-time award. Recipients chosen are not eligible to re-apply.
All applications must be submitted through an Oklahoma DAR chapter. The chapter does not need to endorse the applicant, but the application must be checked for completeness. Applicants may find chapter contact information on the Chapters by City page.
NOTE: Transcripts and financial information that are received by the chapter in a sealed envelope are not opened by the chapter. Those documents will be opened and reviewed by the state chairman and the judges.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in an Oklahoma college or university in the fall semester preceding the award.
An official transcript for this semester will be required
NOTE: High school seniors who are concurrently enrolled in an Oklahoma university or college for the fall semester of their senior year in high school are eligible to apply. They must also submit a transcript for their high school senior fall semester.
Applications are to be submitted in January following the fall semester of any given year. The awards will be made at the annual State Conference in the spring and the monies will be paid for the upcoming fall semester of that year.
Applicants must furnish a completed application, financial need form, letters of recommendation, extra-curricular activity list, and a statement of academic goals along with the official transcript. ACT or SAT scores should be furnished if available.
Judging of applications will be done by individuals who are not members of DAR. It is the responsibility of the
Oklahoma Scholarship Chairman to select the judges in consultation with the OSDAR Board Scholarship Advisors appointed by the State Regent.
The application will be evaluated by the judges using weighted scoring in the following areas: completeness of
application, neatness in preparation, financial need, extra-curricular activities, letters of recommendation, GPA, course of study, and well-defined academic goals.
The Scholarship Award will be paid directly to the Registrar’s Office at the recipient’s college or university following
notification by the Registrar that the recipient has enrolled for the fall semester.

Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English.
DAR’s scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance.
Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships.
Awards are placed on deposit with the recipient’s college or university and any unused portion shall be returned to the DAR.
Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship from the DAR.
The DAR Scholarship Committee Now Has an Online Submission Process
DAR is pleased to announce all students applying for scholarships offered by the DAR Scholarship Committee will submit their applications using the online application portal below. Emailed or mailed applications will no longer be accepted, unless applying for the Margaret Howard Hamilton Scholarship.
