We the Students Scholarship Essay Contest
This scholarship is sponsored by The Bill of Rights Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in September 1999 to engage, educate, and empower individuals with a passion for the freedom and opportunity that exist in a free society. All of its resources are designed to drive students to the United States Constitution and Founding documents as the foundation of their analysis of American history and current events.
Requirements include:
Open to all United States citizens or legal residents who are students no older than 19 and no younger than 14 as April 15, 2021 and attend school in the United States, one of its territories or districts, or an American Armed Forces School Abroad, and:
• who are in grades 8 -12 attending public, private, religious, or charter schools or
• are enrolled in a GED or correspondence school program or
• are attending a home school program.
Award Amount: $500 to $7,500

International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation Scholarship
The IWSH Foundation exists to help develop and enhance the role of the plumbing industry in community collaborations and educational exchanges, all over the world. Plumbing is vital to global health! Today, IWSH oversees and supports a range of water, sanitation and hygiene initiatives by networking with skilled tradespeople from around the globe.
Requirements include:
• Submit an essay
• Provide a copy of current full-time schedule, school transcripts, or acceptance letter
• Must be a current high school senior; or enrolled or accepted as a full-time (12 credit hours) student in an accredited technical school, community college, trade school, four-year accredited college or university, or an apprentice program

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America. Each year, the Barron Prize honors 25 outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive difference to people and the environment.
Requirements include:
• Be between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19) on April 15, 2021
• A permanent resident of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada
• Currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
• Working as an individual to lead their service work.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship
The American Legion’s Legacy Scholarship provides need-based college funding to children of post-9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or those who have a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater. Recipients may apply for additional annual awards up to five times.
Requirements include:
• Child, or a child of a spouse by prior marriage, of active military, National Guard or reservist who died on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 OR child, or a child of a spouse by prior marriage, of a post-9/11 veteran who has a VA disability rating of 50% or higher
