Seniors: Jones High School can nominate one senior for the Chancellor Hans Brisch Scholarship. Student nominated must have demonstrated a commitment to the enhancement of the community or school; demonstrate high academic achievement; have proven record of leadership success and plan to attend an Oklahoma public college or university. Seniors interested in being nominated must submit resume to Mr. Moses by October 1. A teacher committee will select from submitted resumes.

Jones High Students interested in Dartmouth College, Northwestern University, Princeton University, University of California, Berkeley, or Vanderbilt University: Admissions reps from these Universities are hosting an evening information program on Thursday, October 4th at 7pm at the Renaissance Waterford Hotel for students and parents. JOnes HIgh School Seniors interested in OU. The University of Oklahoma is hosting its Small Town Sooners Event on Saturday, September 15th.
During this event, students will take a campus tour, hear valuable information about the admissions process, financial aid, and student life, and even have lunch in Couch Restaurants - all while engaging with current small town Sooners and learning how they can make a big impact at the University of Oklahoma. This event is free!

The Wichita State University College of Applied Studies announces the Doris and Ralph Klose Scholars Day for high school seniors who declare a major in math or science teacher education at Wichita State University. Winners of the scholarship will be offered a financial aid package that may include various scholarships. The Klose Scholarship, up to $20,000, covers the average cost of tuition books and fees during their junior and senior year.
Requirements:
• Be a current high school senior
• Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.50 or
• Have a minimum ACT composite score of 24 or a 1160 on the SAT or
• Be in the top 10% of your class
• Declare a major in a math or science teacher education program

OK City Community College is offering several low cost ACT workshops. $20.00 fee. Students can register on line. The attached PDF has all the information for the student to register.
