Jones public schools will be in school Friday, February 12. Teachers will get feedback from what students learned this week while being remote. We will also be planning and preparing for next weeks remote/virtual learning days due to significant snowfall over the weekend. Monday will be a holiday, which means no school. Saxum is hosting its annual summer internship. Below is a little information on this program.
Summership will take place virtually again this year, but we have decided to break it up into two half days, which will take place on June 16 from 1-5 p.m. and June 17 from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Summership is Saxum's annual interactive shadow day. Open to high school and college students, this event allows participants to hear from current interns and grads as well as full-time staff. Summership students start to build their network, get a glimpse of what agency life is like and even work on a sample project.

The members of KF&B remember how hard it was to pay for education to become the amazing lawyers they are today. Therefore, as a way to pay it forward to others, they have created the $1,000 KF&B Law Academic Scholarship, which is in its third year, to help one student lessen their financial burden from school.
The scholarship is open to any high school senior, or any college student who isn't in their final year. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to the winner’s school’s financial aid department. The scholarship is open to any major, they do not have to be law students.

Seniors: The Local American Society of Military Comptrollers is announcing their annual Scholarship. They are awarding two $500 scholarships to local high school seniors who plan go into a financial management or similar career. These winners will be forwarded to national level competition.
