JHS Seniors: It is that time of year to start your college applications and Scholarship applications: The Gates Scholarship is open and deadline is September 15.
About The Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.

Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial aid and the Student Aid Index, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university.

Basic Eligibility
To apply, students must be:
A high school senior
Pell-eligible
A US citizen or permanent resident
In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
Additionally, a student must plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.
Ideal Candidate
An ideal candidate will have:
An outstanding academic record in high school (in the top 10% of his/her graduating class)
Demonstrated leadership ability (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)
Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)

Just a reminder that JHS 9-12 grade students can request a copy of their transcript free of charge at through parchment at link below. 12th grade students can request for free until August 1 after they graduate. After this date Parchment charges a 3.95 fee for transcript requests

JHS Students who are interested in enrolling at EOC for the 25-26 school year, here are the summer enrollment dates! (This is for any student who missed Iguana Nights/pre-enrollment.)
Students do not need to sign up for enrollment during these dates. They just need to bring a parent/guardian and come to EOC.

All seniors are required to be at graduation practice at the high school on Thursday, May 15th regardless of the baseball games. Please arrive by 8:15am with your cap and gown! See you then!

Graduation is at 7:30pm

Although she will be turning down because she has accepted her offer to attend the University of Central Oklahoma. Congratulations to JHS Senior Tatum Scott! Tatum was just offered the Academic Scholar Institutional Scholarship from East Central University. This award is in the Amount of $48000.00. This is a testament to the type of student and person Tatum is. Way to go Tatum!
