JHS Seniors:Pharmacy Early Assurance Program Deadline is March 1st!
The Pharm.D. Early Assurance Program (PEAP) provides a path for those high school students who are highly motivated toward the pharmacy profession and are focused, committed, and determined to achieve their goal in the quickest
way possible. Accepted students into this program will be on track to earn their Doctorate of Pharmacy in six years or less and does not require completion of a bachelor’s degree. Once accepted into the program, they will receive continuous academic advising from the Director of Admissions, complete Pharmacy Shadowing Experiences, participate in Community Service Projects and attend Summer Leadership Seminars to prepare them for entering into Pharmacy School

Seniors planning to go to SWOSU REminder: . SWOSU’s PLC application deadline is February 1st. All PLC application materials must be received by February 1st. Please take a moment to remind any of your students that might be interested in being a part of this select group of leaders to complete their applications by February 1st. Only complete PLC applications will undergo the selection committee review process and a selected group of students will take part in campus interviews. Students chosen for interviews will be notified by phone during the week of February 18th – 22nd. At that time, they will select their PLC interview date from five different interview options available on February 28th(2 sessions) March 1st, March 4th or March 5th. Interview dates are available on a first come/first serve basis.
The Freshman Academic Scholarship application remains March 1st. All freshmen admitted by the March 1st will be in the academic scholarship applicant pool. Please be sure that SWOSU is kept up to date on ACT/SAT scores posted prior to the March 1st deadline.

American Meteorological Society Undergraduate Scholarships

Courageous Persuaders Competition
The Detroit Auto Dealers Association is passionate about preventing underage drinking and texting while driving. Their Courageous Persuaders Competition encourages high school students to create a 30-second television commercial about the dangers of underage drinking or texting while driving. Students’ videos will be judged by middle school classrooms for persuasiveness. All high school students are eligible to apply and may submit more than one commercial.
