Did you know that Jones has a High School Bowling team? Do you have a high school student that enjoys bowling? We are looking for students that would like bowl for Jones High School. Practices are held outside of school hours, typically 2 times a week (1 night during the week (possibly Thursday), and usually Sunday afternoon). Must be committed to attend practice. Practices begin in October (but could start sooner), and competition begin first week of December and runs until mid – late March. High School Bowling is not a school sponsored sport but does bring recognition and pride to your school, like a State Championship 😊. Each conference has girls and boys teams. (if there are not enough girls for a separate girls team, we will have a mixed team and the team will bowl in the boys division) Each team consists of 8 members max (5 competing, 3 substitutes). Conferences will bowl for 8 weeks. The Jones conference is held out of Boulevard Lanes in Edmond. Regional tournaments are held to qualify for the State tournament. Benefits of High School Bowling…. JHS students enrolled in concurrent enrollment with Rose State College: Classes begin August 19. Mr. Moses should have a book list available at enrollment/schedule pickup. There will also be a meeting with Rose State representative prior to first day of classes. I will notify you when it is scheduled. It will be at the high school.

JHS Juniors: Effective Fall 2019, Rose State College will begin to offer tuition waivers for the first time to high school juniors. Each high school junior who meets the eligibility requirements for concurrent enrollments shall be entitled to a maximum of 9 credit hours per year. Students will be responsible for fees and textbooks. The office of concurrent enrollment looks forward to working with each of you. Our office is available to visit your campus for enrollment, orientation, and additional services requested. Just a reminder that effective Monday, July 29th, our office hours will be M-F 7:30 am – 5:00 pm and by appointment. Fall classes will start August 19th. JHS Juniors: If you ACT score and Subject area score allow you to do Concurrent Enrollment, Rose State College is covering 9 hours of tuition fo Juniors over the 2019-2020 school year. JHS students looking for ACT prep. Steve Bowlware at Edmond Memorial is offering an ACT prep in September. Cost is $100. The class for the SEPTEMBER 14 ACT will be a FOUR-DAY class offered SEPTEMBER 9-12. The only class offered at this time will be 4:30-6:45 pm.
