JHS Seniors: With Fall Break upon us, these two days of Fall Break affords you a great opportunity to make sure you are completing and submitting college admissions applications, scholarship applications, completing FAFSA, etc. Please make sure you work on some of these items but also make sure you enjoy your time and relax.

JHS Seniors: The Jones High School Scholarship application is open. Deadline is February 15.
This scholarship was established in 2000 by the citizens of Jones to encourage high school graduates to pursue higher education. Graduating seniors from Jones High School who completed their junior and senior years at Jones. Unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and ACT of 19 or higher. Demonstrate participation in at least one extracurricular activity at the high school or in the community. Financial need is considered. May attend any nonprofit educational institution in the U.S.

There's still time to encourage your outstanding student leaders to apply for President's Leadership Council at Oklahoma State University. Students should submit their application and essay response by the Nov. 1 Early Opportunity Scholarship Deadline.
PLC is a competitive scholarship program that awards 125 incoming freshmen with a $1,500 scholarship and connects them with the best leaders on campus through a dynamic leadership development program.
Those selected will participate in a summer retreat, enroll in two classes their freshman year and have the opportunity to attend a study abroad trip the following summer.
To apply, students must complete the leadership section of their OSU application and submit a response to the following question on their status portal: Tell us about a time you positively influenced others and what the outcome was.

Seminole State College's 2025 High School Visit Day event is coming up! This event is FREE for students, counselors, and teachers. Students will choose their desired breakout sessions, partake in a campus tour scavenger hunt, win prizes and tuition waivers, and enjoy a complimentary lunch in our Student Union. This is a perfect opportunity for juniors and seniors to learn about college admissions, financial aid, and more.

12th grade: Go to your eoc class, college class, intern, shadow, or go on college day in am.
9-11 will report to 1st hour class and then we will dismiss to go to these various activities. Explore and Junior AM EOC students stay at the high school that morning.

You would also be eligible for many of their other scholarship opportunities. You could save more than $42500 over the course of 4 years. In addition, over 100 corporations and businesses have offices on the campus of Wichita State University and you would start internships in your freshman year and they boast close to 100% job placement upon graduation for their graduates.
