I would like to update everyone on the calendar as it has been affected by weather this year. Because of inclimate weather, we transitioned to Remote Learning on Jan 12. We also used 2 snow days on Jan 13 and 14. The Academic Calendar approved for the 2021-2022 school year includes built in "Snow Days" on March 25 and April 1. Those days will now be in-school days taught. That keeps our calendar at the originally required days taught.

Some may remember last school year when we pulled snow days out of our banked hours rather than use the built in snow days on the calendar. Our decision to do that was a result of the special circumstances associated with Covid. Specifically, as we were wearing masks every day, we were looking for any opportunity to take a break.

As we move forward this year, we will begin relying more heavily on Remote Learning days if needed. Our only remaining built in days are spring break and Easter. Those are days we would strongly prefer to leave in the calendar.

As we're watching the weather this week, I thought an update and plan for the remainder of the year would be helpful.

Stay safe!
