Dear Parents, Students and Future Race Participants:
The Jones High School PTSA is excited to be sponsoring the sixth annual Jones Longhorn Stampede on May 12, 2018. This is a USATF certified, time sanctioned 5k and 1 mile fun run. The proceeds of this event will go to the Jones High School to assist with any needed improvements or to help purchase supplies for the school in order to enhance the learning environment for our students. Our mission is to promote health and education to our students and community through physical activity, and to provide everyone with the tools necessary to be safe, healthy and successful in school and in life.
Date: May 12, 2018
Place: Jones High School, 304 Dr. Lee Simmons, Jones, Oklahoma
Time: 1 mile fun run 8:30 a.m.
5k run 9:00 a.m.
Fee: $25 registration fee for adults (18 and older) and $15 for students ($10 without t-shirt for students only) until April 30th, and $30 on day of event for all runners (t-shirts will be available for sale while supplies last)
All finishers in the 5K will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line. An award will be given to the first, second and third place finishers in both the male and female categories. Results will be posted online at www.dgroadracing.com. Bib numbers will be used for a drawing immediately following the completion of the 5K for the remaining gift donations from various businesses. You must be present to win.
