“The Jones High School Band recently placed 3rd in their class at the Cleveland Invitational and was award a rating of “Excellent” for the second year in a row at OSSAA Regional competition. The band was also awarded OSSAA’s highest academic honor, the “Distinguished Academic Achievement Award”, earlier this year.  The kids are hard at work practicing pep music for football games as well as preparing for the upcoming Veteran’s Day assemblies and Winter Concert. Many students are preparing for honor band and all-state auditions which will happening over the next month. Mr. Moses had this to say about the band: “I am very pleased with the success our band is having.  I hope our numbers continue to grow.  I have had many compliments from other schools about how good our band sounds. I am very proud of all these students. ” It’s a great day to be a Longhorn!”
