High School Book Fair Coming Soon!

Jones High School will host a Scholastic Book Fair from April 1-5, 2013.  The book fair will contain many new and exciting young adult titles including:

Cinder by Marissa Meyer.  In this futuristic take of Cinderella, humans and androids crowd the raucous streets of New Beijing. A deadly plague ravages the population. From space, ruthless lunar people watch, waiting to make their move. No one knows that Earth’s fate hinges on one girl. . . .

Straded by Jeff Probst, host of the hit TV series Survivor.  When a family vacation leaves four siblings stranded on a deserted island, they find themselves in a Survivor-style adventure.

The Raft by S.A. Bodeen.  Surviving the plane crash was the easy part.  Clinging to a raft with no help in sight is when the real terror begins!

Ms. Whitman's pick: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Samantha Kingston has it all: looks, popularity, the perfect boyfriend. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last.

The catch: Samantha still wakes up the next morning. Living the last day of her life seven times during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death--and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing.

Read it before the movie hits the theaters!
